Green Screen Analysis- Martha Ellison and Catriona Morgan

Positives:
We found green-screening easy once we learnt how to layer the two images together on Final Cut Express and then use the tool to get rid of the green screen and have the background come into focus.
Negatives:
The only difficulty of green-screening was that is was not always guaranteed what part of the image was going to disappear when using the tool to get rid of the green background. It especially made it difficult as we were both wearing blue, which meant that sometimes part of Martha's jumper or hair would disappear. However we were able to recover the image and get it to look how we intended it to.
Improvements:
To improve our 'final products' of the green-screening practice, we would either change our poses to match the backgrounds or change the backgrounds to match our poses to make them appear more realistic.
Applying to Music Videos:
Green-screening is used in music videos either to create a surreal feel and make them more creative, or to make them appear realistic even though the artist isn't actually in the location. We may include green-screening in our music video to represent a place that we are unable to actually film in.
