The best narrative photo is the spot light one, as
this makes the audience concentrate on the scene in front of them. it also
helps them to imagine the situation of a sit down talk, and the intensity that
comes with it. as well as this it focuses on the story line instead of the
image of the characters.
The best image photo
is the one of Lucy with the pink filter, this is because it connotes the idea
of a 'girly' image and focuses on the person rather than the music. this also
highlights the effect that images have on the audience, as you are solely focused
on lucy and not the background. The lighting in the clip also connotes image as
it highlights her features again expressing the views of image in today
society.
The best performance
photo was the one with the Boris effect (titling) as it focuses more on the
instrument, rather than the person playing it. This is a good effect because of
the variety of colours and fonts you can use to annotate the clip. The
positioning of the title was good because it matched with the position of the
performer.
The worst narrative
photo was our attempt at the split screening because it wasn't successful as it
separated into two separate images in different frames, rather than the same
one, so the image became unclear. The narrative wasn't presented clearly as you
couldn't clearly see the expressions on the character's faces. To improve we
will edit the split screen effectively, to show both sides of the story and to
also make it easier for the audience to follow.
The worst performance photo was the one with the blue
filter, this was because it overtook the connotation of performing. by having
the blue filter it meant that the intention of the clip was no longer
performance'd based and it portrayed the clip to have a sole focus on image. to
improve, next time we will consider the original connotation of the image
before adding effects, so we do not confuse the audience.
