Effect of Mise en Scene and Cinematography in Beyonce's 7/11 Music video.
The idea for this music video is very creative, yet original. It is filmed in a hotel room, and mostly features the artist. The editing is to the beat of the music and is cut in shots of her dancing, creating an effective form of movement in the video. I think in our music video we would also find a simple location, however use it creatively. The surroundings of the location look unorganised, however they were most likely planned to be there, I think in our music video we will think carefully about our surrounding, and our deliberate forms of props.
Effect of Mise en Scene and Cinematography in Justin Bieber's 'Where are U now' Music video.
In Justin Bieber's music video, 'Where are U now', although the budget was large for this video, this concept is simple yet creative. I think the time lapse he uses in the video, would work well to show time passing in our music video. I think the interspersing of images of the artist compared to a crowd of people drawing is effective as it highlights and draws attention to the artist seperatley to the the other people featured. Unlike goodwins rules state, the lyrics do not link to the visuals, however the music is cut to the beat, allowing music and visuals to link.
